Complete Removable Dentures

A complete removable denture is designed for patients missing all their natural teeth in one or both arches. At Dental Plus Specialists, we offer several types of full dentures – fabricated at our in-house laboratory, including the following:

  • Immediate Dentures: These interim prostheses are created ahead of time and placed immediately after removing any remaining teeth and contouring your bone support. They require frequent adjustments and relines as the bone and gum heal and change shape. They need to be replaced with a final conventional or implant-retained denture once the bone and gums have adequately healed and are stable.
  • Conventional Dentures: Conventional dentures are created after the gum tissues and bone have healed, usually 4-6 months after the surgical extractions. They are crafted from high-quality materials, considering the subtle details of your bone and gums for a better fit and enhanced function, providing a beautiful smile.
  • Overdentures: These removable, implant-supported dentures snap onto a few implants placed in the jawbone, providing adequate stability, function, and aesthetics. They are particularly beneficial for the lower jaw, as they improve the stability and function of the challenging lower denture.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures offer a more cost-effective, removable alternative to fixed dental bridges. They are designed to replace one or several missing teeth when some healthy, natural teeth remain. At Dental Plus Specialists, we offer and fabricate two types of partial dentures, including the following:

  • Temporary Partial Dentures: These all-acrylic temporary partials are sometimes called "flippers." They act like space maintainers, restoring function and aesthetics while we provide any needed treatments and create your permanent partial dentures or indicated prostheses.
  • Traditional Partial Dentures: These durable restorations consist of natural-looking prosthetic teeth attached to gum-colored resin bases. They attach to your natural teeth using metal frameworks and clasps or aesthetic attachments embedded into crowns, providing an aesthetic and stable tooth replacement solution.

What Are the Benefits of Complete and Partial Removable Dentures?

Here is a look at some of the benefits of complete and partial removable dentures:

  • Custom Smile Solutions: We custom-create your complete or partial dentures from impressions of your mouth, ensuring they feel and function as good as they look.
  • Enhanced Aesthetics: We use quality, aesthetic materials to produce lifelike dentures that will have you smiling with confidence once again.
  • Improved Function: Complete or partial dentures help you enjoy more of your favorite foods and help improve your clarity of speech.
  • Better Oral Health: Partial dentures help prevent any remaining teeth from shifting toward the gap, which can lead to misaligned teeth, gum disease, uneven tooth wear, and even TMJ pain.
  • Long-Lasting: We use the latest technology, materials, and techniques at our in-house lab to craft durable, long-lasting dentures and partials that will enhance your smile for many years.

Why Choose a Prosthodontist to Care for Your Smile?

Choosing a prosthodontist to rebuild damaged, failing, or missing teeth means selecting a dental specialist who goes "beyond your smile." Prosthodontists are uniquely qualified to restore and enhance the health, beauty, and function of your teeth with skill and expertise. The term “Prostho” means replacement, and “dontist” means dealing with teeth. Essentially, prosthodontists are THE recognized experts when anything needs to be restored or replaced in your mouth. They receive a certification after completing an additional three years of postdoctoral training in the restoration and replacement of teeth through a university-based program accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA).
